A wild and confusing 36 hour long stay in South Africa and a suggestion to read The power of Now, started my spiritual path many years ago. I didn't know it back then, but my search for meaning and fulfilment would take me across the world before I finally found Ayurveda and Yoga. My first Ayurvedic training happened to take place in the tiny coastal town of Varberg in Sweden, around the corner from where I grew up. The irony is just beautiful.
Through the years I've thrown myself head first into anything my heart has guided me towards. I tried meditation the first time at a 10-day silent Vipassana retreat in 2012. A strong desire for time alone and the chance to reflect guided me to a this quite extreme but very rewarding experience.
Years of practicing Yoga lead me to a 200 hour Raja Yoga teacher training in Hawaii, followed by certifications in Sweden as an Ayurvedic Health Advisor and Ayurvedic Massage Therapist in 2015.
In 2016 I finally certified as an Ayurvedic chef and spent four months back in beautiful Hawaii living and breathing Ayurveda, teaching yoga and farming and harvesting juicy mangoes on volcanic soil.
In 2017 I started sharing my knowledge of Ayurvedic cooking through workshops, which took place in South Africa, England, Germany, Switzerland and Sweden. (yes, they're different countries!)
This year I've settled in Hamburg, Germany and run my buisness here and online. It's lovely to have a home and my own kitchen again, and I look forward to continue to grow and learn with both feet in the same town for at least a good while.
With pranayama, meditation, asana, energy meditations, ayurvedic treatments, consultations and cooking classes, I give my students and clients an opportunity to experience themselves in a new way. Ayurveda can be so much fun if we get to explore it freely without harsh judgement and dogmatic rules. If we understand the principles, we can apply it to our daily life in simple ways.
With my knowledge of both Yoga and Ayurveda, my intention is to inspire a balanced lifestyle and practice, suitable for the challenges of modern life. This is not always easy, and I continue to explore ways to share my discoveries with you.
I offer Ayurvedic Consultations, Yoga Classes, Ayurvedic Treatments and Cooking workshops from Hamburg, Germany. Get in touch here to ask any questions you may have,
I look forward to hear from you.
